What is the pull rate of starlight rares in battle of chaos? ›

There are 0.5 starlight rare cards per case and five different starlight rares in Phantom Rage, so the pull rate of a particular starlight rare is 0.1 per case. Remember that one case equals twelve booster boxes.

So how tough are they to find? Starlight Rares are pretty hard to snag! Expect to find roughly one Starlight Rare for every two cases of booster boxes you open. With five Starlight Rares per set, you might need to crack ten cases of a set just to get the Starlight Rare you're looking for!

In the TCG, there are 9 cards per pack and 24 packs per box. The set contains 100 cards: 10 Secret Rares.

But don't worry: the final ETCO Starlight made Effect Veiler (Starlight Rare) look fantastic by comparison. Most of the Starlight Rares printed so far are either good investments, or relatively flat. It's kind of hard to actually lose value.

Starlight Rare cards have the same horizontal holographic foil pattern as a Prismatic Secret Rare, but applied to the whole card rather than only the artwork. The only areas of the card to which the foil is not applied are the card text box, empty Link Arrows, and portions of the artwork.

Secret Rares were discontinued after the Soul of the Duelist packs due to excessive use of electronic scales, however, they have been re-introduced in Strike of Neos. The odds of getting a Secret Rare in a Booster Pack was 1:31 before the release of The Shining Darkness, when the ratio changed to 1:23.

Since Breakers of Shadow, Ghost Rares are no longer included in regular booster sets. The rarity has briefly returned in side products such as Legendary Duelists: Rage of Ra and Ghosts From the Past. The chance of pulling a Ghost Rare in regular booster sets was officially stated to be 1:288.

Collector's Rares aren't especially difficult to pull: you can expect to find one in roughly every three or four booster boxes you open. That's a lot easier than the one-per-case hit rate for some Ghost Rares, or the one-per-two-case ratio for Starlight Rares.

This set plays well with Duelist Alliance and New Challengers building on the deck themes introduced in these sets. The Secrets of Eternity booster set includes 100 cards: 48 Common Cards, 20 Rare Cards, 14 Super Rare Cards, 10 Ultra Rare Cards, and 8 Secret Rare Cards.

Ultra Rares are identical to Super Rares, but they have gold foil lettering on the card name. A Secret Rare has a rainbow-colored foil that's applied to the artwork, card name, Attribute, and Level. The foil has a diagonal texturing instead of a plain reflective finish.

You can always tell a Secret Rare from the number, though, and they're the most expensive cards. Added in the Sun and Moon Series, Rainbow Rare cards are some of the hardest, and most expensive, in the game. They only appear in certain times and some can sell for hundreds or thousands of dollars.

First Edition Cards Are Pretty Valuable

Whether it's nostalgia driving value or people just want to complete their collection, Yu-Gi-Oh! first edition cards from the first American release in 2002 are highly collectible. In a great condition, these cards usually sell for for a few thousand dollars.

Ghosts From the Past has 132 cards total, with 45 new cards and 87 returning cards, 5 of which appear only as Ghost Rares. All other cards appear in the standard gold Ultra Rare technology. Each box contains three, 5-card Ghosts From the Past packs for a total of 15 cards.
